Southern Pimento Cheese

Southern Pimento Cheese Spread

The first time I had Pimento cheese was at one of my favorite restaurants in Disney Springs. Chef Art Smith’s Homecoming’s which makes a delicious pimento cheese spread I get as an appetizer every time We visit . Who are my Disney fan’s out there? You know what I am talking about right!

I searched recipes and everyone has their own way handed down from one generation to the next down south. Who knew the recipe was so easy. I decided to make it for our Memorial day celebration. Many people put a little cayenne pepper but since we didn’t have any I used Franks hot sauce instead. Honestly you could leave it out or put more than the recipe calls for if you want more kick to your pimento cheese.

Served up with Ritz crackers It makes the fastest and delicious start to any meal. So when you are in a pinch to make something for a gathering try this. Save the leftovers because leftover spread makes awesome grilled cheese and toppings for hamburgers too!
