Bitten by the Running Bug

I always hated to run or workout. I am sure there are some of you who can relate. In high school I hated running track. Remember when we had to take those fitness tests? Well I was the one to volunteer to write everyone’s time so I could get out of  running!  What I did do for 18 years or so is dance, you name it I did it. Ballet, tap , jazz but that that was the extent to my exercise until college. Then it went down hill for a long time, that is until now!

 I have been inspired by many friends in the RunDisney Racing World over the past few years. I was first exposed to running in 2009 when 2 of my friends ran the Disney World Marathon. I was in awe with the intention never to do it or even wanting to do it and thinking how do they do it.  Slowly as more and more of my Disney friends started to jump on the running bandwagon the more I was interested and had the urge to “wish” I could do it someday.  Well that someday is here, 2013, I signed up for my 1st RunDisney Half Marathon which will take place in January 2014 during the Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend. Yikes is all I have to say! I managed to get my husband on board too although he doesn’t have much confidence like I do that we can do it.  My son is even doing the kids races. I am all about the Bling ( especially Disney Bling) too! Hey, if it keeps me going keep the bling coming!
