#7 Disney Special Experiences & Event Options
Queston to ask: Should we do a Disney’s special events or experience like the MSHHP, a tour or a fireworks cruise? What events are taking place while I am there?
You want to make your vacation extra special don’t miss out on these options! There are any extra activities, tours, events and festivals at Walt Disney World throughout the year. Some of free and some are ticketed events.
Ticketed Events
There are several ticketed special events through out the year. Events like the Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party and Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party are examples of extra ticketed events at the Magic Kingdom that you will need to purchase f you decide to attend. Other events such as like Epcot’s Food and Wine Dinners and Flower & Garden seminars also require tickets and reservations. Be sure to check the events calendar here before your trip to see what will be taking place.
Festivals & Happenings
There are all kinds of events throughout the year at the Walt Disney World Resort. During the fall there is the Epcot Food & Wine festival where you can try food around the worlds, see free concerts and learning events in the park, this is free but a park admission is required. Check the event calendar here to see what is going on while you are there. At the Holidays the Candlelight processional is free and always read by a celebrity, you can even purchase a dining option with special seating for this event. In the spring the Flower & Garden Festival takes place.
Tours
If you are looking for something different, consider taking a specialty tour . There are may types of Tours available from Keys to the Kingdom tour to Disney’s Yuletide Fantasy tour. If you want to do this be sure to book it in advance and check ages as some do not allow children. You can find a list of tours here.
Sport activities
There are so many activities outside the park to take part in such as world class golf, boating, bass fishing and parasailing.
Pirate League and Bippidi Bobbidi Boutique
You will need to book these well in advance. Your kids may want to dress up as a pirate at the Pirate League or a Princess at Bippidi Bobbidi Boutique.
Fireworks Cruises
You can even take a cruise with a special viewing of the Fireworks. Take a cruise in bay lake and watch the fireworks or even book the Pirate & Pal fireworks cruise and get special all you can eat treats, character visits from Capt. Hook, Smee and Peter Pan.
