Disney Halloween Time- Welcome to our Haunted Mansion

Disney Halloween

Disney Halloween Time!

It’s Disney Halloween time! I just love decorating for Halloween with a Disney flare especially transforming our dining room into the Haunted Mansion.  It’s almost better than decorating for Christmas.  Maybe it’s because it is a fun no pressure holiday. We are not one of those families who like really scary gory decorations. We are more of a Disney Scary Halloween family.

One of our favorite Halloween Events during this time of year at Walt Disney World the Mickey’s No So Scary Halloween Party which is now in full swing. This is our style of fun! If you have never been to Walt Disney World or Disneyland during Halloween be sure to put it on your bucket list!

So much to see!

It’s my favorite time of year at the Walt Disney World Resort!  Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween party located at the Magic Kingdom is a separate ticketed event and worth the price of admission.

You will see some of the most spectacular Fireworks and castle show at the Magic Kingdom plus an Amazing one of a kind Halloween parade. You can catch a glimpse of the headless horseman too!  See your favorite Disney character dressed in their favorite Halloween costumes and trick or treat along the way around the Magic Kingdom.

From Dance parties, special character appearances such as Jack and Sally to spectacular stage shows with your favorite Disney Villian’s and the Sanderson Sisters of Hocus Pocus there is fun to be had for all ages.

Our Haunted Mansion…Welcome Foolish Mortals

The Haunted Mansion is our favorite attraction and it is even better during the Mickey’s No So Scary Halloween party and that is my inspiration when decorating at home. The past few years I began to transform our dining room into the Haunted mansion attractions and each year I add another element.

Here is a video  tour of our Haunted Mansion room. Sorry I am not the best videographer but you can see it all in action from Madam Leota, moving books to haunted mirrors.

This year I was able to snag the Stretching Room paintings on canvas on Wish.com. I was so excited to find them to add plus Madam Leota tombstone on Disney Park Shopping app you can dowload. We even added the Oogie Boogie man head which was once my sons Homemade Halloween Costume 2 years ago.

The past couple of years I have also been able to make some sort of Disney Halloween costumes for my son. I don’t like to sew and glue is my best friend!  Sadly this is the year he doesn’t want to be a Disney Character. I love looking back at the memories. Here are a few costumes I have made that were also Disney inspired!
