My son has been a fan for years and even at age 7 he still plays with his Buzz and Woody. Yesterday I got my Disney Files Magazine in the mail which made me even more excited! I can’t wait to visit! Just a few days away from opening day, June 30th, here are a few tips.
Just a few quick tips for to experience the brand new Toy Story Land. Last year we experienced opening day for Avatar. Wow, I had no idea what it was going to be like but we made it and was able to experience it all. It was just a sea of people waiting to get in. With that said it all worked out for us. Yes we got up at the crack of dawn, roade the rides, ate the new food and and shopped the new merchandise. Toy Story land has the same amount of attractions as Avatar. So it will be busy so pack a little patience this day. Remember everyone there wants to do the same thing you want to do. The 2 new rides are Slinky Dog Dash and Flying Saucers and Alien Swirling Saucers. Be sure to eat in between at Woody’s lunchbox. Tip #1: Get up early especially if its extra magic hours. Plan to arrive at least 2 hours (specifically for openig day) early and take advantage of being a Disney vacation resort guest. It will reach capacity. If you don’t you won’t even get the chance to do everything.
Tip #2: If fast pass is available grab them.
Tip #3: Get into the gift shop early to buy your merchandise for opening day. Lines get long and things tend to sell out.
Tip #4: Enjoy the atmosphere even if you can’t get into the rides. Make it a priority to take lots of pictures so you can say you where there opening day!
Tip #5: Once you have done everything in Toy Story Land you wanted, hopefully you have a park hopper pass, go visit another park that day. It will be less crowded than Disney Hollywood Studios.
